Perhaps the most ubiquitous and largest font site, DaFont offers a huge range of free and inexpensive fonts for designers neatly organised into categories.

CREATIVEBLOQ

If you’re not looking for anything in particular – just some great fonts, this article from Creativebloq (the guys behind .net and ‘computer arts’ magazines) fits the bill. An extremely well curated list of contemporary fonts.
